For more than 52 years, Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills’ mission has been to ensure that homebound older 
adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Moore County receive nutritious meals for them and their 
pets, wellness check-ins, and the reassurance that someone cares. Every meal delivered represents more 
than nourishment—it provides hope, independence, and a vital connection to the community.
Every fall, we host our most important fundraising event and this year, we invite you to become a valued 
sponsor of our 2026 Thanks for Giving Soirée to be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
This year's Soirée offers a truly memorable experience as guests enjoy a scenic journey aboard the Aberdeen 
Carolina & Western Railway, traveling from Aberdeen westward, stopping at the Cradle in Pinehurst and 
back to Aberdeen while celebrating the spirit of giving. The evening will bring together community leaders, 
local businesses, supporters, and friends who share a commitment to helping our most vulnerable neighbors 
remain healthy and independent in their own homes.
As demand for our services continues to grow, community partnerships with our nonprofit organization have 
never been more important as we do not receive government funding and operate with 120 volunteers and 
only 2 part-time staff. Proceeds through private donations from the Thanks for Giving Soirée directly support 
Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills' mission. Your sponsorship will help ensure that no eligible senior or 
homebound adult goes without the nutrition and compassionate support they need.
