Lessons Learned Series - Part 2
The Moore County Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Moore Forward and the Sandhills Community College Small Business Center, are hosting part two of our four-part business series, Lessons Learned on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Moore Forward Innovation Lab in downtown Aberdeen, NC.
Life is tough. Life as an entrepreneur is even tougher. Often as a business owner an individual has walked away from any safety net they may have had to pursue their business dreams. Gone are the sick days, vacation days, health benefits and financial stability. But if you were to ask most owners, they would do it all again in heart beat but with one stipulation. Applying the lessons they learned, especially in the early days. The Lessons Learned series is designed to help our local business community absorb these valuable business lessons from other local business owners that started from the ground and worked their way up!
?The first of the Lessons Learned series was a tremendous success. We are very excited to continue our series this fall for the business community. It is an excellent opportunity for current and future business owners to gain the necessary insight to run their businesses smoothly and effectively.? said Linda Parsons, President & CEO of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. ?The path to innovation is rarely smooth. Whether you aspire to start your own business or are a serial entrepreneur, this training offers real-world insights that can be put into action.?
We are hosting our next series as a panel, with local business owners. We wanted to feature the differences between starting a franchise vs. an individually started business. Our presenters for session two are Micah Niebauer ? Owner, Southern Pines Brewing Company, Danny Hayes ? Owner, The House of Fish, Mark Adel ? Franchisee Owner, Liberty Tax Service on 5, and Allen Baker ? Franchisee Owner, Cold Stone Creamery. All panelists are extremely passionate about their businesses, however, had to go through particularly different experiences to get where they are today; which will make this an especially exciting session to be a part of!
There is no charge to attend and the event is open to the entire community, but RSVPs are requested due to space limitations. To reserve your spot for session two of the Lessons Learned series, contact the Chamber at 910.692.3926 or by visiting www.moorecountychamber.com Light refreshments will be provided.
