Registered Nurse
About the job
Company Description
Philipp C. Wirth, MD, PLLC is a small, concierge medical practice in Pinehurst, North Carolina, built around relationship-based, patient-first care. We believe medicine is at its best when patients are known deeply, listened to carefully, and cared for thoughtfully—without the pressure and pace of traditional healthcare settings.
Our practice is physician-led, intentionally small, and rooted in the community. We are looking to welcome a Registered Nurse who is excited by autonomy, continuity of care, and the opportunity to help shape how medicine is practiced day to day.
Role Description
This full-time Registered Nurse role is a unique opportunity to step into a highly independent, patient-facing position within a concierge medical office. You will play a central role in patient care and communication, working closely with the physician while helping define what nursing care looks like in a small, thoughtful practice.
This role will largely replace the current office manager as they transition to medical school, creating space for the RN to shape workflows, relationships, and philosophy of care over time. Mentorship from an experienced physician is a core part of this position, with flexibility for clinical growth based on your interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop close, ongoing relationships with patients
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient communication (phone, text, email)
- Patient triage and care coordination
- In-office clinical care, including wound care and phlebotomy
- Medication refills and prior authorizations
- Direct involvement in patient care and clinical decision-making
- Occasional home visits as needed
- Collaborate closely with the physician to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Clinical skills such as administering medication, taking vital signs, and supporting medical procedures
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, documentation standards, and maintaining patient records
- Strong patient education, communication, interpersonal skills, and comfort working independently
- Organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and CPR/BLS certification
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Optimistic, enthusiastic, and patient-focused mindset
- Open to all experience levels—from new graduates to experienced hospital nurses
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Office hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Willing to work with the right candidate’s schedule for flexibility and balance
Compensation
- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
- Paid time off and holidays
- Opportunity to shape the role and type of care you provide
- Professional growth and clinical development
- Mentorship from an experienced physician
- Stable, office-based setting with meaningful patient relationships
Why This Role
This is not a corporate nursing job or a high-volume clinical setting. It is an opportunity to practice nursing in a way that feels personal, intentional, and grounded—where your voice matters, your relationships matter, and your work directly impacts patients’ lives.
