Chamber Hosting Impactful and Powerful Training Leading Yourself and Leading Through Relationships
SOUTHERN PINES, NC – The Moore County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of a half day training opportunity to for the community – Leading Yourself and Leading Through Relationships. On October 22nd at Pinehurst Country Club from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (registration opens at 8:00 a.m.), Mike Erwin will be giving a motivational presentation that will impact individuals of all professional levels.
Mike is an enthusiastic, grateful, and optimistic leader who was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and now resides in Moore County on a 32-acre Homestead with his family. He is the founder & CEO of The Character & Leadership Center and has worked with companies including Amazon, SAP, and Stryker; Special Forces units; and professional sports teams including the Boston Celtics and the NJ Devils. He is the co-author of LEAD YOURSELF FIRST and is about to release his second book LEADERSHIP IS A RELATIONSHIP.
Mike founded Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), whose mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their communities through physical activity and also co-founded the Positivity Project---an organization with the mission to empower America’s youth to build positive relationships. With 672 partner schools, the organization reaches 395,000 children daily. Mike continues to proudly serve the nation as a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, assigned to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he is an Assistant Professor assigned to the Behavioral Sciences & Leadership Department.
During this two-part session, Mike will touch on methods of leading through solidarity as well as leading through your relationships. Skills that are critical in today’s ever-changing workplace.
