As a part of the continuing support for victims of Hurricanes Michael and Florence, United Way of North Carolina has received a generous gift from the Julius Peppers Hurricane Relief Fund through Foundation for the Carolinas.  This gift of $100,000 will be used to purchase Walmart gift cards in $50 increments and distributed to United Ways in counties most highly impacted by Hurricane Florence.  The United Way of Moore County received 100 gift cards that will be distributed by the Sandhills Coalition for Human Care who is serving as the case management entity working directly with individuals and families. The cards are for purchases of basic care items, household goods, clothing, food or could have been used to purchase gifts for Christmas.

The United Way of Moore County, on behalf of those who benefit from their generosity would like to thank Julius Peppers of the Carolina Panthers, The Foundation for the Carolinas and the Carolina Panthers for this gift.
