The Southern Pines Police Department Announces: Armed Robbery Investigation

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at approximately 2:20 pm, an armed robbery occurred at Kay Jewelers located at 178 Brucewood Road in Southern Pines, North Carolina. It was reported to the Southern Pines Police Department that an African American male entered Kay Jewelers armed with a pistol, which he pointed at employees, while ordering them to fill a bag with assorted jewelry from the display cases. The suspect exited the business with the stolen jewelry.
An investigation conducted by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department has led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Angelo Epps, 59 years of age with a last known address of Fayetteville, North Carolina for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and three counts of Second Degree Kidnapping. Angelo Epps is described as an African American male, 6’0”, 160 pounds, brown eyes, close cut black hair and was last known to be wearing a grey baseball hat with a red bill, light grey Nike tee shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
The Southern Pines Police Department is requesting the assistance of the community in locating Angelo Epps, who should be considered armed and dangerous as he is additionally wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies outside of Moore County, North Carolina.
