Now being hosted at Sandhills Community College\, Clement Dining Room in the Dempsey Student Center (2nd Floor)\n\n\n\nThe Moore County Chamber of Commerce\, in partnership with Sandhills Community College\, invites local employers to a special coffee event this June to explore the benefits of hiring individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This engaging session will provide practical insights\, success stories\, and resources to help businesses strengthen their workforce with dedicated and skilled employees.\n\n \n\nIndividuals with IDD bring a wide range of skills and talents to the workplace\, offering reliability\, mindfulness\, and strong work ethics. Many businesses that employ individuals with IDD report higher retention rates and improved workplace morale. By expanding hiring practices to include this capable workforce\, businesses can address labor shortages while fostering a culture of productivity and success.\n\n \n\nEmployers will hear from experts and business leaders who have successfully integrated IDD employees into their teams\, learning firsthand how these individuals contribute to a productive and motivated workplace.
