Moore County Chamber Builds Momentum

SOUTHERN PINES, NC – As 2026 reaches its midpoint, the Moore County Chamber of Commerce continues to build on a strong year marked by workforce initiatives, business engagement, regional collaboration, and strategic planning efforts designed to support a vibrant and growing economy. 

During the second quarter, the Chamber welcomed new members, expanded business programming, strengthened partnerships with educational institutions, and launched initiatives that position Moore County for long-term success. Through networking events, leadership development opportunities, workforce programs, advocacy efforts, and business support services, the Chamber continues to serve as a catalyst for economic growth and community prosperity.
 
"Our work during the second quarter reflects the Chamber's commitment to helping businesses and non-profits succeed while also addressing the broader opportunities in our region," said Linda Parsons, President and CEO of the Moore County Chamber. "Whether we are supporting workforce development, connecting entrepreneurs, celebrating business milestones, or engaging in strategic conversations about the future, our focus remains on creating an environment where businesses and our community can thrive."
 
Highlights from the second quarter included:

  • Welcoming 49 new businesses and organizations into Chamber membership during the first half of 2026.
  • Partnering with Moore County Schools to host three Career Technical Education Signing Day events, celebrating 36 students who are entering the workforce, military service, post-secondary education, and apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Continuing the Chamber's AM Beats series and specialized business training programs, including programming offered in the Town of Vass, providing employers with practical resources and professional development opportunities.
  • Expanding collaborative networking opportunities through partnerships with the Moore County Economic Development Partnership, such as the Moore Entrepreneur Meet-Up and Manufacturers Meet-Up, both designed to strengthen connections among key sectors of the local economy.
  • Celebrating business growth and investment through multiple ribbon cuttings and business recognition events across Moore County.
  • Hosting AI training in partnership with Sandhills Community College.
  • Putting on signature networking events, including Early Bird Connections, Business After Hours, the Chamber Spring Open House, and Moore County Leadership Institute Alumni gatherings.
  • Becoming a founding member of the North Carolina Critical Technology Alliance, a statewide coalition focused on advancing defense innovation, technology development, and advanced manufacturing opportunities across North Carolina.
  • Convening a strategic visioning session with the Chamber's Board of Directors to identify future priorities and ensure the organization remains positioned to meet the evolving needs of the business community.
  • Continuing direct outreach to local employers through one-on-one business visits and consultations, allowing the Chamber to better understand emerging opportunities, workforce needs, and challenges facing the local business community.
Throughout the quarter, the Chamber brought together business leaders, educators, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, elected officials, young professionals, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration and strengthen the relationships that drive economic success.

We are fortunate to have businesses, educators, local governments, and community organizations that are willing to work together to move Moore County forward."
