Moore County Chamber Celebrates Moore County 4-H During National 4-H Week
Chamber thanks county leaders and partners for investing in the next generation of community leaders

Carthage, N.C. (October 7, 2026) — The Moore County Chamber of Commerce joined the community in celebrating Moore County 4-H programs at the Moore County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday evening, October 6, during National 4-H Week.

The Chamber is grateful to have such a strong 4-H program in Moore County. Through 4-H, young people build the skills, confidence and sense of service that prepare them to lead in their schools, workplaces and community.

"We are grateful to have such a strong 4-H program here in Moore County," said Jonathon Lewis, Director of Membership & Community Initiatives at the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. "The young people in this program are tomorrow's business owners, employees and community leaders, and we look forward to seeing the leaders being built through 4-H."

The Chamber also recognized Sandhills Community College and Danaka Bunch for their partnership with 4-H and the Chamber's Moore County Youth Leadership program on this summer's camp. Collaborations like this open doors for local youth and show what is possible when community partners work together.

The Chamber extends its thanks to Moore County Government for its continued support of the 4-H program and for its ongoing dedication to and partnership with the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. Investing in local youth is an investment in Moore County's future.
