Moore County Chamber Reports Strong First Quarter Growth and Community Impact

SOUTHERN PINES, NC – The Moore County Chamber of Commerce began 2026 with strong momentum, welcoming 21 new members during the first quarter and continuing to expand its role as a convener, connector, and champion for the local business community. From January through March, the Chamber hosted and supported over two dozen programs, networking opportunities, training, ribbon cuttings, and leadership initiatives designed to strengthen local businesses, support workforce development, and build meaningful connections across Moore County.  In addition, the Chamber celebrated 59 years supporting the business community.

“Our first quarter reflects the energy and momentum we are seeing across Moore County,” said Linda Parsons, President and CEO of the Moore County Chamber. “Businesses are looking for ways to connect, collaborate, and grow, and the Chamber continues to serve as a hub for those opportunities. We are proud to welcome new members, celebrate business milestones, and create programs that support both our employers and the broader community.”

Among the Chamber’s most notable accomplishments during the first quarter:

  • Welcomed 21 new member businesses and organizations to the Chamber network.
  • Kicked off the 2026 Moore County Leadership Institute (MCLI) class with 16 participants representing a diverse cross-section of industries and organizations.
  • Created new programming including AM Beats and our specialized training for the business community in the Town of Vass. 
  • Launched new networking opportunities in partnership with Moore County Economic Development Partnership including the Moore Entrepreneur Meet-Up and Manufacturers Meet-Up. 
  • Hosted multiple ribbon cuttings and ground breakings for local businesses.
  • Continued popular networking events such as Early Bird Connections, MCLI Alumni Socials and Business After Hours
  • Provided educational and workforce-related programming on topics such as mindful productivity, employer engagement, and expanding workforce participation.
  • Supported multiple programs with Moore County Schools, including their Career Exploration Job Fair, Business Advisory Council and CTSO Leadership Training
  • Featured on the national Chamber Podcast program
  • Issued the annual relocation magazine, LifeStyles, the premier magazine highlighting Moore County
  • Received service awards for 25 years, 10 years and 5 years in the Chamber Industry
The Chamber’s first quarter calendar included a variety of opportunities that brought together business leaders, nonprofit organizations, educators, young professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and community stakeholders. In addition, the Chamber continues to meet one-on-one with businesses to support them on their business journeys to ensure economic viability. 

“The Chamber’s value extends far beyond events,” Parsons added. “We are focused on building relationships, strengthening the workforce pipeline, supporting entrepreneurship, and helping businesses thrive. Our members are investing in the future of Moore County, and we are excited to continue building on this momentum throughout the year.”
